About this site

We’re a community of sustainability leaders, community members, and concerned citizens who recognize that our present course is unsustainable.

The goal of this site is to allow us to speak out, to share our insights, to connect with one another, and to collaborate on projects to adapt to and mitigate the consequences of the converging crises we face in the modern world—from climate change to the loss of biodiversity, from global poverty, hunger, and injustice to resource exploitation and overconsumption in the so-called “developed countries,” from false metrics such as GDP to misguided economic and environmental policies, from peak oil to peak water, from resource depletion to the mountains of toxic wastes we are accumulating.

To become a member of this community simply sign up—with your real name—and indicate the level at which you would like to contribute. All comments are moderated, and all honest and authentic viewpoints welcomed. For more information email jcloud@slforum.org, or post a comment on any page or article. Thanks
